Christmas Lights.... I never dreamed Christmas lights could bring a child such joy. As we were driving home from a shopping trip last week, we came up on a super festive neighborhood. I've never witnessed someone hyperventilating but for a moment I began to think Payton was showing signs. He was overjoyed. As we "crawled" through the neighborhood, Payton would yell STOP whenever he saw a house with lights. He took several seconds at each house to stop and gaze at the bright lights. He was amazed at such a simple pleasure. It reminded me that there are times (especially at this time of year) that I need to stop. Stop to enjoy all the simple joys around me.
